The ability to not modify any part of the vehicle is a major benefit. Does not raise a red flag to service shops. The power module can simply be removed and returned to factory running condition. Just plug the original sensor back on to the vehicle. It's just that easy.
Third benefit is simply a much cheaper alternative compared to ECM Flashing. This ranges from $800-$2000 dollars and requires a service technician to service the ECM whenever you need changes made on the vehicle.
